Our chosen genre is horror. We will achieve this by:

3. Storyline
Our movie is based around a boy named Jake being possessed by
demons. This was the result of playing with devil satanic items.
Throughout the movie, the audience uncover the consequences Jake
must face.
Our opening sequence gives the audience a glimpse of the suffering
Jake faces, such as witnessing his best friend, Ben, die due to his
actions.

4. Characters
Jake – This is our central character who is a 16 year old boy. He drives most
of the action and attempts to get in touch with spirits. However, this
backfires and he becomes possessed by devils.
Ben – Ben is Jake’s best friend. He is easily persuaded and manipulated into
a life threatening decision. Ben mainly represents the effect of Jakes actions.
Grace – Grace is Jakes little sister. She is a small girl that is very quiet and
unsure of everything taking place.
Margaret – Margaret is the councillor which Jake and Grace are talking to
about their paranormal experiences.
Sabrina – Sabrina is the woman who provides Jake, Ben and Grace with a
tarot card reading.

5. Location
Our main location of our opening sequence is Aarons house. This is because
it is close by and we are all able to access it. The therapy scene is set in a
lounge environment so we used Aaron’s lounge to portray the therapist
setting to the audience.
The fact we set some of the opening sequence in a normal environment like
a therapist lounge suggests normality, therefore making a larger contrast
with the horror/supernatural theme of the film, which is effective as there is
a contrast in setting and genre which may intrigue the viewer a lot more.
