It was the school holidays! Being a daredevil, my
sister looked out of the window and thought to
herself, it is a perfect day for cycling, not too
sunny, not too windy. She dashed to take out
her bicycle and ran downstairs to her favourite
place, a long, steep slope.
My sister tightened his fingers around the brakes of
his bicycle as she descended the steep hill. The
wheels of the bicycle took on a life on its own as it
free-wheeled down the slope. With every turn of
the wheel, she speed increased by leaps and
bounds. The bicycle sped down like a racing
Formula One car as trees and bushes flew by in a
blur. She could only watch in stupefied terror as her
bicycle heading for the drain. Her legs turned to
stone and his knuckle turned white she braced
himself for the abrupt landing.
“Wham!” The bicycle crashed headlong onto the
floor. The impact sent my sister flying forward
head first and over the handlebars of her bicycle
like a ragged doll. Her life flashed before his very
eyes before she landed with a sickening thud.
Everything blacked out a few moments before
her vision resumed blearily. My sister lay in a
twisted heap of arms and legs, wincing in
excruciating pain.
Luckily, Emma, her best friend, saw her and quickly
ran towards her. “Are you feeling well?” She
asked, patting my sister’s arm gingerly. “Yes, I am
feeling well, thank you. How did you get here?” She
asked. Emma quickly explained that she was
helping her mother to buy food. Then, my sister
told Emma the story of how she fell. My sister then
tried to get up. She struggled and at last, she stood
up with the help from Emma. She bade Emma
goodbye and set home with her bicycle beside her.
       What an eventful day!
