The context of short films

Making a film long or short is largely done through passion, so it is
always good to asses why you want to make a film be it experience
in the field, personal satisfaction, money or even just testing out an
idea to see where it leads. I personally found that being able to watch
a variety of short films on the Internet widened by understanding of
the field allowing me to take into consideration their techniques and
even attempt to recreate them. It could be argued that short films not
only provide experience to the director and cast but also to the
viewer, enabling them to attempt it themselves.
