This document discusses the population dynamics of white giraffes in West Africa from 1996 to 2010. The starting population was around 3,000 but declined sharply to only 50 by 1996 due to habitat fragmentation and loss of biodiversity. Thankfully the population increased to over 300 by 2010, suggesting the species may be rebounding.
