Blanka Rothschild recounted her experience during the Holocaust in Poland. The Germans ransacked her hometown of Lodz and forced her and her mother to live in ghettos. After the war ended, Blanka joined carts returning to Lodz to see if anyone else had come back, feeling it was her duty. However, when she arrived back in Lodz, she found nothing left, as she and her mother had nothing to bring with them.
