This document describes an artist's response and creative process after a wildfire destroyed their farm and buildings. It discusses the artist creating encaustic prints from pre-fire and post-fire photographic images of the farm for an art show. It details the challenges of printing large-scale images on rice paper, including wrinkling issues and different mounting and framing techniques. The artist finds the process somewhat cathartic and hopes to replant olive trees and only experience controlled fires on the farm going forward.
