The Advanced North-Atlantic 300G for the global Research and Education Community. Presentation at ASREN's e-AGE conference held on December 1st and 2nd at the American University of Beirut.
All components of the 5G platform is in place, we are making our system truly end-to-end with the new products we are introducing. With two new 5G Radios, AIR 6488 and AIR 5121 that, together with the AIR 6468, launched 2016, give us a complete portfolio of 5G radios for Massive MIMO with new mid-band and high-band versions.
5G will give consumers higher smartphones speeds and fiber-like wireless connections to the home, and it will unlock exciting new IoT use case from immersive augmented reality to remote haptic-enabled surgery to connected cars and smarter cities. 5G will impact the entire mobile network and associated ecosystem, from devices to radio access to the mobile core and into the cloud. Ericsson 5G Plug-Ins are designed for the radio access network and leverage the technology innovations enabled by the award-winning Ericsson 5G Radio Test Bed and Ericsson 5G Radio Prototypes already deployed and in operator 5G field trials worldwide.

Satellite IoT and M2M Difference: A Customer PerspectiveOmar Qaise
Many satellite operators and solutions providers mix the concepts of M2M and IoT. This presentation is a brief look at the difference from Oil & Gas customers perspective
With the components already introduced to the market, we are making the platform truly end-to-end by launching;
- The market’s first complete 5G radio system
- The first version of an E2E Core network capable of 5G use cases based on network slices
- A 5G core network which can now be connected to 5G NR radio
This enables already today some 5G use cases, for telecom operators to capture growth opportunities for 5G & Internet of Things services for Consumers & Enterprises.
Mobile World Congress 2017 - Ericsson NFVi solutionEricsson
Ericsson NFVi solution is a pre-integrated and verified platform, based on open source, that reduce risk and shorten time-to-market for new services deployment. Ericsson provides cloud transformation services, ranging from consulting and systems integration to managed services for a successful cloud adoption. Ericsson NFVi solution consists of NFV Orchestrator (Cloud Manager), Virtual Infrastructure Management (Cloud Execution Environment), SDN controller (Cloud SDN) and NFV Hardware (BSP 8000 or Hyperscale Datacenter System 8000).
Susan James, Head of NFV Infrastructure at Ericsson, discussed in the OPNFV Summit 2017 in Beijing the initiatives to meet the needs of the global community supporting United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals (SDG). 5G and IoT has opened up opportunities for responsible consumption and affordable energy, but also put requirements on the network infrastructure. By focusing on network evolution and leveraging on the telco cloud strategy, Ericsson has created an scalable and economically viable platform, based on automation. Ericsson is working closely with technology partners, standardization boards and open source communities to drive thought leadership and innovation and build up the infrastructure for sustainable cities and communities.
How can you shorten your lead time in a dynamic market? Ericsson NFVi solution presentation starts with an overview of the opportunities & challenges with the Internet of Things (IoT). Then, it presents the requirements on the network infrastructure to support key 5G use cases, based on network slicing. It continues showing how Ericsson NFVi solution – a pre-integrated, open and verified platform – can enable rapid time to market for virtualization projects. It follows by sharing how to leverage telco cloud strategy to create value and make your network more agile and your operations more efficient. It concludes with key learnings from projects with early adopters, using the Ericsson telco cloud Target Operating Model, that lead our customers to a successful cloud adoption. Let Ericsson empower your digital transformation!

The Telecommunications industry is in the midst of transformation with Service Providers looking to gain advantage from convergence of IT and Telecommunications. Software Defined Networking, and more importantly OpenDaylight SDN, brings the power of programmability and automation to networks. This presentation will take you on a journey together with Ericsson through our past decision to productize and base our SDN solutions on OpenDaylight, our activities that ensure current open source initiatives such as OpenDaylight, OpenStack and OPNFV power the transformation to Telecom Cloud and our plans for OpenDaylight and PaaS Integration.
The World's Largest WiFi Network - Presentation by Alex Puregger, COO of FON at the NOAH 2013 Conference in London, Old Billingsgate on the 14th of November 2013.
Around the world FTTH, FTTB, FTTA networks are being built. But building a fibre network is expensive. Operators want to avoid overbuild as much as possible. If they are laying fibre for different purposes, then they want to combine the efforts as much as possible. In this presentation we show the potential cost savings that can be achieved by deploying a converged fibre network.
AI applications at the very edge 2018 04 26Loic Lietar
This presentation shows why, in IoT, AI needs to be deployed at the very edge of the network to be massively scalable, what is the readiness of the HW ecosystem and provides some application examples
With the Ericsson 5G Core System we have built an architecture that is highly flexible, modular, and scalable. It supports a much higher degree of programmability and is ready to exist in a cloud-based environment. We help you to quickly react to new challenges and capture any business opportunity that arise.
With these new technical innovations and services we can help operators provide mobile broadband to the 50% of the world's population who are currently without internet connection, in a sustainable and cost efficient way.

5G for Museums, Galleries and Heritage - unlocking the full potentialKTN
UK5G Creative Industries Working Group in partnership with the National Gallery delivered an event entitled “5G for Museums, Galleries and Heritage – unlocking the full potential” to explore the wealth of opportunities offered by 5G to the Arts and Heritage sector.
The high-bandwidth low-latency technologies promised by 5G will likely radically disrupt the sector both in the way the content is delivered and received. Thanks to 5G, immersive experiences will become more seamless and available not only to a groups of people at the same time but also to remote visitors. 5G will also impact how museums, galleries and other venues operate.

Ericsson Technology Review: Bolstering the last mile with Multipath TCPEricsson
Access aggregation is a viable option for service providers to boost bandwidth across the last mile in areas where it is too costly to increase the capacity of legacy access. Multipath TCP is ideal for access aggregation in the last mile as it is able to boost bandwidth significantly while simultaneously increasing reliability and ensuring seamless connectivity. Multipath TCP proxies are carrier-grade and optimized for high traffic throughput. They allow service providers to use Multipath TCP for access aggregation without the need for end devices and internet servers to be aware of it, and make it possible to implement traffic-steering policies for the use of available access networks in the most cost-effective and efficient way.

Wireless communication involves the transmission of information over a distance without the help of wires, cables or any other forms of electrical conductors.
Wireless communication is a broad term that incorporates all procedures and forms of connecting and communicating between two or more devices using a wireless signal through wireless communication technologies and devices.
Features of Wireless Communication
The evolution of wireless technology has brought many advancements with its effective features.
The transmitted distance can be anywhere between a few meters (for example, a television's remote control) and thousands of kilometers (for example, radio communication).
Wireless communication can be used for cellular telephony, wireless access to the internet, wireless home networking, and so on.

Gen Z and the marketplaces - let's translate their needsLaura Szabó
The product workshop focused on exploring the requirements of Generation Z in relation to marketplace dynamics. We delved into their specific needs, examined the specifics in their shopping preferences, and analyzed their preferred methods for accessing information and making purchases within a marketplace. Through the study of real-life cases , we tried to gain valuable insights into enhancing the marketplace experience for Generation Z.
The workshop was held on the DMA Conference in Vienna June 2024.

A cellular network, frequently referred to as a mobile network, is a type of communication system that enables wireless communication between mobile devices. The final stage of connectivity is achieved by segmenting the comprehensive service area into several compact zones, each called a cell.
Instagram has become one of the most popular social media platforms, allowing people to share photos, videos, and stories with their followers. Sometimes, though, you might want to view someone's story without them knowing.
