The first department I work in is Community Youth Development and Access. Here my main
responsibility was starting an Environmental Club with four schools in the local communities
Welverdiend and Thlavekisa. Teaching Environmental Education, Permaculture Gardening and some
art and drama. Revolving around this, I performed all tasks connected to teaching the schools.
Including arranging transport, ordering stationary, lesson planning, communicating between all
relevant parties involved and keeping the detailed reports of the children up to date.
The second department is Wildlife Area Management. Here I liaised communication between my
senior and the Environmental Monitors (EM's). I also learned a lot from the EM's about environmental
control (nature conservation). I worked various jobs including looking into and upgrading the campus's
waste system, designing leaflets, helping my senior with universities and guests who came
periodically to experience and learn from the college.
During my time I have also participated in the tracker dogs training very occasionally.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
I understand people and each person’s unique way about them, I’ve always respected and easily got
on with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I am a hard worker and I learn quickly. My general
attitude is always positive, and I am good at finding solutions to practical problems. I have an infinite
love for the African land and its animals, which will become my future career. I am a strong person
who can take on responsibility, also physically quite capable of going through tough circumstances yet
remaining calm and cool headed. As a complete contrast, I am also gentle and can work sensitively
with different people’s sensitivities. I am applying for this job because I know I am capable and I would
