OSHA has implemented new enforcement measures and reporting requirements to improve workplace safety. Employers must establish reasonable injury reporting procedures and inform employees they can report without retaliation. OSHA will now cite employers for programs that discourage reporting or retaliate against employees. New maximum penalties have increased for all violations. By 2019 all employers must electronically submit injury logs to improve data collection and allow public access to employer safety records.
