Technicolor's Genesis platform integrates the separate stages of filmmaking into a smooth virtual process. It allows collaborators like directors and cinematographers to work together on a project from anywhere in the world. Using virtual production capabilities and networks, Genesis can combine live footage with computer graphics for viewing. Changes can be made almost instantly as filming occurs. The system includes a complex security system called Tessa to ensure only authorized people can edit the project.

Much of the focus in assessing the growth of the Internet of Things has stemmed from the automatic connectivity and interaction among devices without human intervention. At some point, however, the objective of IoT is to make the lives of people better. As the relationship between IoT and the human experience is explored to develop customer facing applications, it will be important to ensure seamless integration across devices. In 2012, Technicolor saw the need to interconnect all IoT devices and applications, regardless of brand or manufacturer. This led to the development of Qeo, a communications framework built on Linux design, which made its public debut in 2013. Since then, Technicolor has joined an industry consortium, AllSeen Alliance, and is contributing the work it’s done with Qeo.

Zooming: The New Global Communication
When I began the Master of Arts in Integrated Global Communications program at Kennesaw State University – I was mostly interested in effectively communicating with people in different parts of the world. Understanding cultures, traditions, and actions were significant to me. As we transitioned to career paths, I became interested in global corporate communication. And precisely how Zoom was reshaping global communication during this pandemic. I knew that the space for zoom usage by educators was already robust, so I wanted to dive into Zooming for facets like businesses, personal, and governmental agencies. Like Kleenex is to facial tissue and Google is to internet searches Zoom is to computer hosted video meetings. Hence, I began to investigate virtual video solutions for domestic and global industries.
For my Capstone Project at KSU, I chose a professional white paper to share my Zoom and media insights. Professionally, I produce videos, news, and long-format programming so it seemed like a natural progression to research and discuss this new phenomenon. In early 2020, in-person interaction stopped due to the Corona Virus. There was already a growing space of podcasts through internet platforms like Buzzsprout, iTunes, Spotify, and Patreon, and thanks to a robust world internet and enhanced phone and computer technology, it was a natural transition to add video to podcasts.
I discuss global communication with Zoom for virtual team meetings, corporate messaging, corporate interviewing, and information sharing. Additionally, I write about the importance of preparing for a successful Zoom session related to how the participant dresses, use microphones, lighting, and audio effectively.
The Zoom success didn't happen overnight – it was years in the making. Still, the global pandemic caused millions of people to find and use an available communication platform, and Zoom was the easiest, quickest, and free to users for up to 40 minutes. I also discuss the Pros and Cons of Zooming. I found that some industries were using Zoom effectively, and other sectors found challenges with the platform. This White paper will fill in the gaps for professionals to get the most from Zoom and the medium of video communications because of these tips for compelling video- work for video professionals on all platforms. 1) The Social Network was produced entirely digitally using file-based workflows from shooting through post-production and delivery to theaters.
2) Color grading was done by Ian Vertovec using Quantel's Pablo system in a mobile DI theater set up on a soundstage for efficiency.
3) Vertovec refined details in nearly every frame but did not do heavy relighting as the film was well-lit on set, instead focusing on subtle enhancements to achieve the director's vision of "sophisticated reality".

"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.

"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.
Group Enterprises: In some cases, where multiple corporations are closely related or form part of a single economic unit, courts may pierce the corporate veil to achieve equity, particularly if one corporation's actions harm creditors or other stakeholders and the corporate structure is being used to shield culpable parties from liability.

- 2. Introduction • Jeffrey Navon is a patent attorney for Thomson Licensing in Princeton, New Jersey. Since 2014, attorney Jeffrey Navon has litigated intellectual property infringement cases for Technicolor, the company that owns Thomson. Technicolor is best known for creating the film processing method that gave motion pictures their bright hues through the 1950s. The firm is now a provider of digitized visual technology, such as the Genesis platform. Conventional filmmaking has always been divided into pre-production, production, and post-production stages. Collaborators such as lighting designers, directors of photography, and directors all worked under one roof. Genesis’ virtual production capabilities allow artists to contribute to filmmaking from anywhere in the world. For example, live footage and computer-generated images can be combined over data networks for viewing on desktop PCs and virtual reality headsets. Changes can be made almost instantaneously as filming is actually underway. With workplace and management methods now spread across the world, a complex security system known as Tessa makes sure that only authorized people can make changes.
