Responsible for the design and implementation of student Continual Learning Plans including;
collaborating with Special Education teachers to ensure that students IEP or 504 plan is
implemented. Established curriculum based on national and state standards as well as state statute
and simultaneously working across content areas to make curriculum engaging and based on real
life examples while meeting Waubun High Schools graduation requirements. Adapted lessons and
materials so that they could easily be used in both a one-to-one instructional setting or with large
group instruction.
Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher, Horizon Middle School.
Within the general education classroom and resource/inclusion setting my use of innovative
teaching methods, differentiation, and extensive content knowledge allowed me to promote
independence and confidence within students. I worked assisting multiple students in developing
academic and behavior strategies but also developing social skill sets that helped them have
success within the general education classroom environment.
2012-2014
Youth Development Professional, Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley. 2013-2014
As a Youth Development Professional I promoted opportunities, attitudes, and skills that youth
need for success in life. Provided a safe place for youth to learn and to grow by offering an
environment of safety and acceptance and free of judgment. Implemented curriculum designed to
build self-esteem and allow children to grow into responsible and caring adults. Designed
curriculum focused on building character and fostering leadership skills among a varied population
of students ranging in ages 6 to 16. Oversaw the daily operations of a Youth Commission site
including; maintaining staff and student ratios, co-teaching curriculum, supervising meals as well
as nutrition, and closing and opening procedures.
Attendant Care Worker, Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota, Fargo ND
Supervised a self-contained site that provided a safe environment for minors that were taken into
police custody for non-violent offenses. Offered family support for individuals and families
navigating the juvenile justice system for the first time. Provided resources for families and minors
dealing with traumatic home situations such as abuse, neglect and runaway or homeless teens.
