- The TBM Council is a non-profit organization founded in 2012. The Council is focused on developing a definitive framework for managing the business of IT by establishing standards and providing ongoing collaboration and education opportunities. The Council puts this pillars in practice the following ways: Collaboration – Members have the opportunity to attend global and regional TBM events and participate in an active online community. Collaboration opportunities include, the online community, TBM Connect, annual TBM Conference, regional engagements, and virtual workgroups. Standards – The TBM Council creates and maintains structured frameworks for implementing and measuring TBM. Examples include the TBM Taxonomy, the TBM Framework, the TBM Model, and the formation of the Standards Committee. Education – The TBM Council produced original research and curriculum to advance the understanding of TBM, including the TBM Book, case studies, and TBM certification.
- The TBM Council is made up of 3,300+ members, and continues to grow every day. The Council is governed by an independent board of business technology leaders from a diverse group of the world's most innovative companies like AIG, Cisco Systems, DuPont, ExxonMobil, First American, Microsoft, Nike, and more.
- TBM Council members along with members of the IT and Finance community have the opportunity to attending the follow events: European TBM Summit in London – June 15, 2017 Australian TBM Summit in Sydney – September, 2007 TBM Conference 2017 in Las Vegas – Nov 6 – 9, 2017 The TBM Council also hosts virtual events and gatherings like today’s meeting throughout the year. - Every year, the TBM Council honors 6 outstanding organizations for the innovation in the field of TBM. The winners will be honored at the TBM Conference in November. (If March/early April) I want to encourage everyone in this room to submit their team for nomination. Every story is different, and we want to hear from you. Nominations are open March 2 – March 31.
