Andrea Gardner, a stay at home mom, and Scott Kingsley Swift, a stockbroker, are her parents. She has a younger brother, Austin. She grew up on a Christmas-tree farm. She didn’t fit in at school and was bullied. In the fourth grade, she won a national poetry contest. When she was ten, a computer repairman showed her how to play just three chords on a guitar. This is what got her interested in learning guitar. Shortly after, she wrote her first song titled “Lucky You.” At the age of twelve, she spent the entire summer writing a 350 page novel which. To this day, is still unpublished. She used writing songs as an outlet because se didn’t fit in at school and was bullied. She wrote songs to express her emotions. She started performing at local karaoke contests, festivals, and fairs.

She plays a 12 string guitar and has since she was 12. 13 is her lucky number. She writes songs without changing the names about people they are about. She is very neat, organized, and tidy. She loves Lay and Order: SVU. If she wasn’t in the music industry, shed want to be a forensic detective. She was the youngest to win Entertainer of the Year at the VMA’s in 2009.
