8. Sony Fan Boys
These are individuals who are so ‘‘in
loved’’ with different Sony products. No
matter how cheap or expensive it is, they
are willing to buy such, just because it
was made of Sony enterprise.
9. Aside from their ‘‘Fan Boys’’, Sony
enterprises has no real target market that
is interested in their PS3, you know why?

10. Movie enthusiasts are suppose to buy
PS3 because of its BluRay Capabilities.
Unfortunately, as what they usually
do, they don’t go w/ those ‘‘cheap’’ ones
but they go with the luxurious ones
instead.
11. There are gamer who are interested w/
cheap gaming console, but since PS3
has high price tags, Sony can provide
their selection.
Sony also try to target hardcore gamers
by their game selection on PS3.
They also tried to target casual
gamers, but some casual gamers are
more likely to buy Wii, a cheaper game
console.
12. Game developers dislike the hardware
architecture of PS3. They have to spread their
game code in 7 different CPU’s which are not
able to talk w/ each other directly and need to
work w/ the slow memory interface. Therefore,
the PS3 got their primary platform, so if it works
well on PS3 , they can easily port their games
over other console, instead of finishing XBOX
version and running into problems on the PS3
causing the game to ship late.
13. END USER
Individuals whose age ranges from
thirteen and above will be PS3’s end
users.
Children whose age fall under thirteen
are not advisable to buy PS3 unless
there is an adults supervision.
14. Playstation 3
The PlayStation 3 (officially abbreviated as PS3) is the third home video
game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment, and the
successor to the PlayStation 2 as part of the PlayStation series. The
PlayStation 3 competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as
part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.
A major feature that distinguishes the PlayStation 3 from its predecessors is
its unified online gaming service, the PlayStation Network, which contrasts
with Sony's former policy of relying on video game developers for online
play. Other major features of the console include its robust multimedia
capabilities, connectivity with the PlayStation Portable, and its use of a high-
definition optical disc format, Blu-ray Disc, as its primary storage medium.
The PS3 was also the first Blu-ray 2.0-compliant Blu-ray player on the
market.
The PlayStation 3 was first released on November 11, 2006 in
Japan, November 17, 2006 in North America and South America, and
March 23, 2007 in Europe and Oceania. Two SKUs were available at
launch: a basic model with a 20 GB hard drive (HDD), and a premium model
with a 60 GB hard drive and several additional features (the 20 GB model
was not released in Europe or Oceania). Since then, several revisions have
been made to the console's available models, most notably with the release
of a new slim model in September 2009 to coincide with rebranding of the
console and its logo.
