Logistics details
• To subsidize accommodation, interns is expected
to contribute MAX. 100 USD.
• Living Expense (food + commute) in Tanzania is
MIN. 150 USD per month.
• Interns are encouraged to have travel insurance
covering both their “health” and “property”.
• Most interns bring up to 1500 USD:
– Study tour to Zanzibar: ~ 200 USD
– Study tour to Safari: ~ 500 USD
– Climbing Kilimanjaro: ~ 1000 USD

Gender Health Improvement
• Health (especially gender related) issues remains one of
the most talked about things in Tanzania. A lot of effort
and money have been used to improvement health
situation in Tanzania.
• The most frequent feedback we had from our most
impactful project, ASK (Answer Solution Knowledge on
HIV/AIDS) is that participates are bored with HIV/AIDS.
• Therefore, we decided to expand our workshop series to
STDs, UTI, TB and malaria (instead of just HIV/AIDS).

Culture & Globalization
• Tanzania is the most diverse nation in Africa,
consist of 130 languages and tribal groups. Many
people in Tanzania has little knowledge or
appreciation of a tribal group other than their own,
and the rich culture of tribal groups is losing its
essence amongst youth. Additionally, tribal groups
can sometime be a deciding factor in employment.
• In recent years, globalization has become a
phenomenon in Tanzania, seeing so much more
international collaborations and influences. And
staying informed and knowledgeable will only put
Tanzania youth one step ahead of others.

• Employers in Tanzania struggle to find graduates that can do their
job well. Most graduates have nothing more than a degree
certificate, and are lack of transferable soft skills for task execution.
• In the graduate employment market, AIESEC is extremely relevant.
Mainly due to the voluntary leadership experiences, interest in world
issues, and Global Competency Model.
• Some employers will even ask for AIESEC members exclusively on
their application.
• If AIESEC is developing the right talents for the market via our TMP/
TLP program, why cant we extend some elements to more youth in
Tanzania.
