The Tameside BSF project will create a 10-year strategic partnership to deliver 12 secondary and special schools through a Local Education Partnership for Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. The partnership includes the Council, BSF Investments Limited, and Carillion. Carillion will construct the schools at a cost of £173 million and provide facilities management for 25 years at a value of £21 million for the initial 4 schools. All 12 schools in the current phase will be completed by the end of 2012 and the partnership will deliver additional schools through future phases of the BSF program, totaling £300 million.
