The document summarizes the Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) program, which provides assistance to service members and their families in accessing veterans benefits and healthcare. The TAA program has advisors in each state who help navigate military and VA systems, educate on available benefits, and ensure families are supported. TAA advisors are often veterans themselves and work to build partnerships across military and civilian organizations to best serve current and former service members and their needs.

Veterans are recognized for their service, but the caregivers of veterans are rarely thought of as needing help. Fortunately, the United States Department of Veteran Affairs has programs to assist caregivers of veterans monetarily, emotionally, and physically.
Brief synopsis of Child Care Aware of America - my current place of employment. We help provide military fee assistance to families looking for nationally accredited childcare facilities or programs. Here I am describing some of the processes we go through before deeming eligibility.
Long-Term Care isn't just for the elderly, and it isn't just about nursing homes. It's about having the assistance you need during an extended illness or injury at any time of life. Please read this guide. As always we are here to help.
This presentation is one of many available on senior topics to help families better understand the aging process and find resources to help their loved one remain safe and healthy in their home. To sign up for a workshop please contact our office. Note: Videos and manuals affiliated with this presentation are only available when attending the workshop.

Who We Are: The purpose of the Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) program is to provide a professional in each
state/territory (some states have two TAAs) to serve as the statewide point of contact to assist Servicemembers in
accessing Veterans Affairs’ health care services and benefits. Each TAA also provides assistance in obtaining
entitlements through the Military Health System and access to community resources. The TAA initiative started in May
2005 when the National Guard Bureau (NGB) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Veterans
Affairs (VA). The TAA program is staffed by 60 contract positions and four federal technicians.
