3. Rainbow Rock This unique rock was found on our island and acts just like the conch in Lord of the Flies. This rock represents democracy because this rock gives the person holding it the right to speak. This rock also symbolizes authority because the person holding the rock is the one with the right to speak and the others are required to stay silent and listen to the one who possesses the rock.
4. Fuselage The salvaged piece of fuselage from the plane we used in the shelter represents protection from various forces. It protects us from the weather, wild animals, and gives shelter for us to rest in.
5. Cooking Pots Cooking pots would symbolize our survival and kind of an authoritative tool or something that gets us together. Survival because we cook food in this, it helps us storing water, so we don’t have to go back and forth. It’s a sense of authority because I use this to call an assembly. So without the cooking pots we couldn’t use anything else because it wouldn’t be as loud.
6. Fruits The fruits united us together, we were all hungry and we went out searching for food and when we found it we all shared it together. We also thought of each fruit representing each of us.
7. Knife The knife was used to sharpen the spears and kill the pig. The knife also symbolizes the break in friendship and cooperation. His was because the knife sharpened the spears of the fishers and the hunters, but in the end, only the hunters got food. It brought upon discord among the group
8. Pig’s Meat The pigs meat symbolized forgiveness because when the hunters didn’t want to share what they had hunted with the fishers, they forgave the fishers and shared the pig’s meat.
