Swiftmile joins the Better Without It campaign
Swiftmile has recently kicked off a partnership to advertise for Better Without
It, a campaign to empower Florida youth to resist the influence of drugs and
alcohol.
Better Without It is a joint initiative of the Brevard Prevention Coalition, the
Orange County Drug-Free Coalition, the Osceola Recovery Project, and the
Seminole Prevention Coalition in collaboration with CTS { agency, an
Orlando-based marketing firm.
The social media and digital-out-of-home campaign produces content and
resources that encourage youth between ages 13-24 to cultivate positive
skills, habits, and connections that keep them “better without” substance
use.
To reach their target audience, Better Without It has turned to Swiftmile, the
leader in micromobility charging coupled with digital-out-of-home
advertising.

Swiftmile’s digital advertising network is currently broadcasting an ad for JAM
Sesh, a mobile game created by Better Without It to reinforce healthy habits
and deter young adults from using drugs and alcohol. The rhythm-based
game has players hitting moving music icons to increase their score while
avoiding substance icons (vaping, alcohol, pills, etc.) that penalize the player
with the effects of the substance mid-game, increasing the difficulty.
“If the ‘Better Without It’ message cuts through the digital noise and
encourages a teen to take a step, make a change, choose a substance-free
life, it’s a win,” said Stanley Brizz, executive director of the Brevard Prevention
Coalition. “It is in all our best interests for this generation to thrive, and we
are thankful for community partners like Swiftmile who help us encourage
young adults to make decisions and choices in favor of a substance-free life.”

Working with entities like Better Without It ties into Swiftmile’s mission to not
only advertise for businesses, but also for nonprofits and organizations that
have a positive impact on the community.
“I first met the team at CTS { agency a few years ago thanks to the Orlando
Game Space,” said Joel Martin, VP of Digital Out Of Home at Swiftmile. “I’ve
always been amazed by the quality of their work. When I first heard about
the Better Without It project, I just knew it was the perfect opportunity for us
to work together. It showcases Central Florida Tech Innovation and local
governments coming together to help teens overcome some of the obstacles
that they face. This is a great way for digital native Gen Z to understand the
effects of some of the choices they make without talking down to them. A
truly remarkable way to engage with today’s youth.”
