Photographs make good travel
souvenirs. With just a few clicks, you
can create memories of your favorite
places that last a lifetime. However,
not all these places allow
photography. Some can even be fined
for breaking this rule. Aside from
Michaelangelo’s David, The Sistine
Chapel, and the Valley of the Kings,
here are some travel destinations
that also ban photography.

Inside the Taj Mahal (Agra,
India): It’s perfectly fine to strike a
pose outside the Taj Mahal, but never
inside it. There is a tomb inside, and
it would be disrespectful to take
pictures of how it looks. There are
also guards who will check if you’ve
taken photos in the no picture zone.
Jiangsu National Security
Education Museum (Nanjing,
China): It would be hard for you to
enter the premises in the first place,
especially if you are a foreigner. This
museum in China houses gadgets,
documents, and spying equipment
from 1927. Even if you were allowed
to enter the museum, you still
wouldn’t be able to photograph
what’s inside.
Jewel House (London, United
Kingdom): Nobody is allowed to
take pictures of the jewels at the
Tower of London. These beauties are
protected by bombproof glass and are
surrounded by guards.

Visitors are required to check in all
their belongings before entering the
mausoleum of North Korea’s past
leaders, Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il.
Guests are also required to walk
through a dust-blowing machine. Of
course, photos are not allowed.
