Relation with other ongoing
activities of MoHFW
 The NeHA (National eHealth Authority) of India is being set up
to monitor all eHealth activities and the NHP will be proposed
to be the Secretariat for the same.
 The MMP (Health) proposes a Citizen’s Portal that can be built
upon the NHP which will form its informational base.
 MoHFW has become a country member of IHTSDO that
develops and distributes the SNOMED-CT medical vocabulary
standards. It requires a NRC for local adoption and
translation. NeHA / NHP can become the Indian NRC for
SNOMED-CT.
 NHM has an ambitious National Helpline program of 104 that
has been so far adopted by only 7 states. NHP can coordinate
to make it a central helpdesk that will appropriately interact
with and route to the relevant states for the required services.
