SCHOOLS PROSPECTUS
About Us
Support the Youth is committed to improving the development of current and
future generations of young people, creating options and pathways to enable
them to become socially responsible citizens in a civil society.
We recognise and build on the potential of young people, developing and
expanding their vocational skills, helping them into employment by providing
an individual bespoke development plan. Working with a network of local
businesses including “Delivery Partners” (who will be delivering the training and
coaching programmes) and “Business Club Members” (who will offer work
placements with employment opportunities).
Support the Youth was set up to help young people from different social
backgrounds, with the purpose of offering choices and creating employment,
motivation and stability in their lives.
We believe that all young people deserve the opportunity to succeed and be
proud of their personal achievements and we aim to provide young people with
the opportunity to succeed and flourish, to receive coaching and guidance, to
achieve recognised qualifications which will in turn support their future life and
employability.
Support the Youth embodies a number of core values:
to make a difference in the community by developing key life and
employment skills in young people
be a sustainable social enterprise that continously reinvests all monies into
developing projects and young people
striving to offer an excellent service

What can we offer you?
A choice of interventions tailored to suit your students and their needs:
Option 1 – Raising Aspirations
Interactive motivational sessions including:
Sam's Story – an inspirational success story.
Life and Work – a facilitated session to listen and discuss alternative career pathways.
Option 2 – Preparing for Work
Interactive sessions about the 'World of Work.'
How to get a job - Job Search, CV Preparation, Applications, Interview Preparation and
Interview Skills and Follow-Up.
What to expect as an employee.
What do employers expect and how to keep your job?
Work placements and visits.
Option 3 – School Based Projects
We offer ideas and ongoing support to income generating projects. Student involvement will
improve and develop life and work skills, knowledge and behaviours.
