This document analyzes staffing levels and ratios at three airlines: Delta, Qantas, and Air Asia. It finds that Delta and Qantas, which are classified as full-service carriers, have higher staff-to-passenger and staff-to-aircraft ratios than Air Asia, a low-cost carrier. Passengers on full-service carriers are therefore likely to experience fewer problems than those on low-cost carriers due to the higher staffing levels. Charts are included showing the ratios for each airline.
