Suha Owens decided to become an Arbonne independent consultant after having her second daughter and not wanting to return to her previous job. She was initially skeptical of the opportunity but attended a presentation and was intrigued. Owens realized she didn't want to return to her previous job and that being a consultant could allow her to stay home with her daughters. Though hesitant at first due to concerns about selling skincare and the stigma around network marketing, Owens committed to giving it a try for a year. She was then further motivated when her husband lost his job unexpectedly. Owens worked hard and was able to achieve the level of Regional Vice President within a year.

We've all had dreams at some point-of who we want to be, where we want to live, what we want to do, etc.
And along the way, some of us went astray…But, we found our way.
These are our stories…
Iffort, was my destination organisation for the Industrial training semester for the completion of my graduation. Unlike what was expected , it was much more fun then just working and learning.
Is it unrealistic to think that gratitude could play an important part in your success? I don't think it is.
This article tries to explain why the daily practicing of gratitude could increase your chances of success.

eciding after having her second daughter
that she wanted more to be home with
her family than back at work, Littleton,
Colorado’s Suha Owens reluctantly went to an
Arbonne Presentation. She was skeptical at first,
but gave it some real thought, found support for the
idea from her husband Mike, and decided to give
this business a try.
My Arbonne journey began when I was very pregnant with my second
daughter and, not surprisingly, unmotivated to go back to my job after
maternity leave. I was invited to an Arbonne Presentation and, honestly,
I was the guest you wish you hadn’t invited. But I went home intrigued
at what I learned that night, although not yet ready to jump in.
My wheels really started turning when I realized the job I was planning
to go back to probably wasn’t going to be there and in all honesty, I
didn’t even want to go back at all. I decided to look a little more into this
whole Arbonne thing. Maybe this would allow me to bridge the income
gap, so I could stay home with my two girls and help my husband sup-
port the family.

Arbonne Independent Consultant, Regional Vice President

What I found out absolutely astounded me. Not only could I make a
little money doing Arbonne, there was the possibility to earn a generous
income. I could also pick when I wanted to work. The only requirement
is that I had to work — and I could do that!
Still, I hesitated to jump in for a few reasons. First, I loved putting my
girls to bed at night. I didn’t want to give that up two nights a week.
Then I realized that giving up a couple nights a week would mean full
days with my girls. I also realized that I could put them to bed and then
work or plan my events while they were napping. I got to plan this job

2. around my life! Not the other way around. Second, I was really nervous
about the stigma around network marketing. I have to admit, I was really
negative toward the business model before I understood it. What I soon
realized, though, is that everyone around me was jumping into businesses
like these, so the stigma was quickly disappearing. Last, I was afraid of
selling skincare and makeup. I had come from a finance background so
I have to admit I felt like I was above this. I remember a conversation with
my husband Mike over the bathroom counter one evening. I said, “Really
Mike? Am I going to sell skincare and makeup?” He said, “Yes! And you’re
going to build a business.” That I could do!
So I made a decision to jump in and stick with it for at least a year. I real-
ized from the very beginning that it wasn’t going to be easy but as long
as I kept moving forward and kept doing the work, I would succeed. My
goal was to promote to Area Manager so I could stay home with my girls.
In August 2012 I made the decision to push for it.
Then on December 6, 2012, life threw us a curveball. Mike was laid
off — no notice, no severance. I was shocked. I was also thankful that I
had had the forethought to start my Arbonne business. Our Plan B was
now our Plan A.
I again decided to make this business work and I recommitted to it. I
made a decision to believe in this business and believe in myself. From
then on my business grew until I qualified for Regional Vice President in
September of 2013. By December 1, I had promoted.
It wasn’t always easy, and I have even felt like quitting. But in those times,
I have had to decide again to dig in and keep going. This business has
been a series of small decisions to put one step in front of the other. It’s
amazing what can happen when you decide to follow the system and
do the work on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Little decisions make
a huge difference.
I could have never done this alone. I have been so fortunate to have such
amazing people supporting me throughout this journey.
First, I have to thank my team. You inspire me to become a better person
and a better leader. I am so proud of everything you have accomplished
and can’t wait to give the keys out to many Mercedes-Benzes in 2014.
To my amazing Sponsor, EAM Ginger Angell: Thank you for always believ-
ing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I love that Arbonne brought
us together and now I have a friend that is like a sister to me that I never
would have known without it. To NVP Suzy Harting: You are such an
inspiration! I am blessed to have you as my friend and mentor. I hope to
lead a team as strong as yours one day. To ENVP Stacie Pereira: Thank
you a million times for taking me under your wing and helping me build
my team. Without your support I could not have built this Region.
I want to thank my family. First, my husband and best friend Mike: Without
you, I wouldn’t have started this amazing journey. You are my rock. To
my two beautiful daughters, Vivi and Lucy: You are my Why. I would not
have done this without you, but I am so thankful I did. You made me get
out of my shell and do something I never thought I would do.
Finally, I want to thank God. I can’t tell you how many times I prayed while
we were in qualification pushing to finish. All I knew was that this could
not happen without you. I feel blessed.
