The Sugarcane Breeding Institute in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu is holding a walk-in interview on February 23, 2011 to fill two positions for Junior Research Fellow under a scheme studying molecular defense responses in sugarcane against Colletotrichum falcatum. Candidates with an M.Sc. in life sciences, biotechnology or agriculture specializing in plant pathology or biotechnology are eligible. Experience with molecular techniques and bioinformatics is desirable. The position offers a salary of Rs. 16,000-18,000 per month plus HRA depending on years of experience.

Walk-in-interview at Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore-7 (Tamilnadu) on

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: 2 (Two)
1. No. of Post : 2 (Two)
2. Duration : Three Years till December 2013)
3. Qualification :
Essential : M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Agriculture with
specialization in Plant Pathology / Plant Biotechnology.
4. Desirable : CSIR NET or any other equivalent qualification. Research
experience with hands-on expertise in molecular biological
techniques and working knowledge with Bio-Informatics.
5. Salary : ` 16000/- + HRA (20%) for first two years.
` 18000/- + HRA (20%) for the third year.
6. Age: : 30 Years for Men & 35 Years for Women. The age limits
are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt.
of India norms.

photocopies of certificates, experience certificate and latest passport size
photograph at the time of interview.
