2. Academic Requirements
For Graduates:
 Good Score in SAT, TOEFL, GRE, GMAT & IELTS.
 Successful Completion of International Education Equivalent
to US Secondary Education(12 Years)
 All India Senior School Certificates awarded by the Central
Board of Secondary Education & Higher School Certificate(HSC)
/ Indian School Certificate.
 School Mark Sheets demonstrating completion of senior
secondary education in the native nation
 Certificate of Diploma(In any)
 Proven Academic Achievements to Demonstrate your Ability
to Succeed in University Level Studies.

3. Academic Requirements
For Post-Graduates:
 English Proficiency Test Scores.
 International Bachelor's Degree Equivalent to an American 4
Year Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University.
 If you have 3 Year Bachelor's degree/diploma, then you must
complete a Qualifying Pre-Master's Program.
 Official Documents for all Colleges Attended
 Proven Academic Achievements to Demonstrate your Ability
to Succeed in University Level Studies.

4. General Requirements
 A Valid Passport of the Applicant
 2 Recent Passport-Sized Photographs with a
White Background
 A duly Signed Application Form & its
photocopies.
 Photocopies of Previous Academic
Qualification(Mark Sheets from 10th class till the
last degree obtained.)
 Visa Application Fee Receipts.

5. Other Requirements
 Work Experience Certificate (if any).
 Statement of Purpose (SOP) describing the
reason for applying to a particular college and
highlight why you are a perfect fit for the college
and why the college should accept you.
 At least, two Academic Reference Letters from
professors who have taught you most recently.
 If you have Work experience then two letters of
recommendation (LOR) from the
employer/manager who knows you well and can
comment on your professional abilities.
 Resume
 Travel Insurance Certificate.

6. Application Procedure
 Complete the Application Process for the Selected Institute.
 You’ll receive Confirmation of Acceptance(i-20 Form*) once
the US Education Provider accepts you.
 Once you fill the i-20 Form, you need to pay SEVIS Fee and
the Visa Application Fee. This Visa Fee has to be paid at the
approved Axis bank.
 You can fill the Visa Application Form(DS 160) online here.
 Make sure you have already completed all the Required steps
before filling the DS 160 Form.
Once Completed you’ll receive an Application ID & Password
to access the confirmation page of DS-160.
NOTE: i-20 form is necessary to enter the U.S for the first time.

7. Application Procedure
Now, you need to make an Appointment for your VISA
Interview at the U.S Embassy.
Appointments can be booked online. Applicants from India
can click here.
Once done, you’ll be able to view your Appointment Letter.
You should take your whole VISA documents with you for the
Appointment.
On the same day you’ll be informed about the VISA decision.

8. Things to Know
What you should know before Studying in U.S?
You should have good & consistent marks at least from class
IX.
Every School Report Card & Mark Sheet must be sent to the
college with the Application. No Report Card should be omitted.
Applications must be submitted 8 or 10 months before the
college year starts.(Between August & September)
Student with Strong Extra-Curricular Activities & Interests
gets more priority.
Testing : USA Colleges requires SAT. Also keep in mind, some
of the colleges in USA do not accept IELTS.
In U.S students are allowed to change their major course of
study within the 4 years of their college education.
