The document discusses plans to start a StreetPass club at a school in Belize. StreetPass allows Nintendo 3DS users to exchange game data when they come within range of each other. The club aims to increase StreetPass connectivity in Belize by having members exchange tags daily. Members will then play multiplayer StreetPass-enabled games like Mario Kart 7 and Pokémon until 4PM. The club intends to foster cooperation and bring together students with common interests through inclusive, non-violent games.
Q4 WEEK 1 JUDGE THE RELEVANCE AND WORTH OF IDEAS.pptx

1.
2. What is StreetPass?
• StreetPass is a feature present in
every Nintendo 3DS system that allows users
to exchange data from games & applications
that the two own.
3. Why is this needed?
• Currently, in Belize, there is a lack of
StreetPass tags being received.
• Since December 2012, I have only received 4
StreetPass tags in BELIZE.
4. How will this benefit the school?
• It will be a first in Belize that there will be a
club dedicated to the StreetPass function.
• The school will have bragging rights, in
addition to many others this amazing school
already has, that we have the only StreetPass
club in the entire country.
5. What will be done at StreetPass Club?
• Obviously, the first thing that will be done
would be to StreetPass each other.
• After everyone has received StreetPass
information, we will play games until 4:00.
• This brings me to a point I would like to
quickly make…
6. The Games
• Video Games are often thought of as violent and
harmful to the minds of the youths.
• This common misconception has brought a false
impression on many games which have no
relations to those popular games which, for some
odd reason or the other, people like to play.
• An example of those ‘violent games’ would be
Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto, which both
are rated ‘M’ (Which means 17+) and careless
parents buy those violent, and in my opinion
unentertaining, games.
7. • Many of the games made by Nintendo, are
rated in between E to T (Everyone to
Teenagers), which most, if not everyone, at
S.J.C should be a teen.
• Even the games rated at T that are made by
Nintendo show no graphic images or overlyviolent sceneries, such as blood.
8. The Games
• Earlier, I said that we would play games until
4PM, after we have StreetPassed. Those games
are.
• The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary
Edition (Rated E)– A 4-Player 2D game where 4
players work together co-operatively to get
through puzzles. Was released free between
December 2011 to February 2012 and again from
January 30th 2014 to February 2nd 2014. So there
is no additional cost to owning these games so
anyone with the system who downloaded it could
join.
9. • Mario Kart 7 (Rated E) – An 8-Player Kart Racing
game. Only requires one game card for
multiplayer. So once you own a Nintendo 3DS
system you can player with others. This game also
makes use of the StreetPass functionality in
which racing data would be exchanged.
• Pokémon X and Y (Rated E) – Although it lacks the
single card play function, I have seen at least 5
people who own the game IN SECOND FORM.
There must be even more who own it in 1st, 3rd
and 4th form. Trading, Battling, and Co-operative
battling of Pokémon will be taking place. This
game also makes use of the StreetPass
functionality in which PokéMiles will be received
whenever tagged with a person with the game.
10. • Steel Diver: Sub Wars (Rated E10+) – Although
the title may sound misleading to sound like a
violent videogame, it isn’t. It is a submarine
TPS. It takes place underwater and in the
multiplayer team mode, players try to defeat
the other team of submarines. This game was
the first free-to-play attempt by Nintendo and
is free to download on the Nintendo eShop, so
no cost is required. Everyone can join in on
this game.
11. Schedule
3:20 – Meet at location to StreetPass
3:20 – 3:25 – StreetPass Tags are used and
cleared out.
3:25 – 3:40 – Steel Diver: Sub Wars
3:40 – 4:00 – Either Four Swords, Mario Kart 7,
Pokémon X/Y or another game people want to
play
4:00 – We go home
12. Other Points I’d Like to Make!
• This Club will bring together people who have
common interests.
• This club could also be an alternative for
people who have no interest in the other clubs
currently available.
• The games being played focus on teamwork
and co-operation (Four Swords, Steel Diver:
Sub Wars). This could help students with
developing group skills.
13. • The Club will not allow playing of explicit
games. All the games played will be good
natured, fun games with no crude or
inappropriate content.
• There is already interest in such club. I have
asked many of my peers about it, and 5
people have already shown interest.
• I would like the club to only allow 12
members.
14. • Volume will be kept at a minimum and noise
well be kept soft.
