Written outline of my storyline
The storyline for my psychological thriller is about a young man, which was born
with schizophrenia without being diagnosed. As he grows up his life is normal;
he had a house, wife, a child and a stable office job. Dramatically his child is
murdered but the murderer has never been discovered.
The story begins with this already happened with the family trying to move on
over the loss of their child not being able to know the whole story. At the start
we see the main character living a normal life going to work and being with his
wife. After work he walks to a suspicious location in the middle of nowhere
acting odd. We then see he walks in to the shed. As the camera pans round we
see writing all over the walls (we notice he is trying to figure out who murdered
his child).
As the story continues conflicts between the wife and himself arise due to the
strain of what’s happening, this intertwines between different shots of him
working out the murderer, scribbling on the wall of the shed with the girl in the
background playing with a doll.
As the disequilibrium is ending we can gradually find out that his working out
lead to the conclusion that he may have killed his child without knowing due to
his schizophrenia but we do not want to show the resolution so therefore we
find him drop a pen and at the same time a child screaming.
