2. WHAT IS A STORYBOARD?
The Storyboard brings the script to life in a series of
simple sketches that can show how the story works in a
way that is easier to understand than a script. The
storyboard will show the scene and the intended camera
angles, to explain to everyone, from the animator to the
director and producer, how the story will unfold on
screen . When the Wachowski brothers were pitching
the idea for The Matrix they had to get elaborate
storyboards made by top comic book artists so that the
studio could understand what they were trying to
achieve. Those type of highly finished boards are called
presentation storyboards, as opposed to the rougher
production storyboard that are used as guides.
