Storie della Bibbia: Lode e ringraziamento - Bible Stories: Praise and Thanksgiving
1.
2. Thanking God for His Goodness
King David faced obstacles and difficulties. Each time, though, he overcame through
praising God and meditating on His goodness. David said,
I will praise the LORD at all times. I will
constantly speak his praises. Let
everything that breathes sing praises
to the LORD! (Psalm 34:1, 150:6, NLT)
Ringraziando Dio per la sua bontà
Re Davide affrontava ostacoli e
difficoltà. Ogni volta, però, trionfava su
di essi lodando Dio e meditando sulla
sua bontà.
Davide ha scritto: Benedirò il Signore in
ogni tempo: sulle mie labbra sempre la
sua lode. Ogni vivente lodi il Signore.
Alleluia, gloria al Signore! (Salmi 34:1;
150:6)
3. The Power of Praise
Word was rushed to Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, that a vast army was swiftly
approaching. Three neighboring kingdoms had joined forces and were about to attack.
Una guerra fuori dal i
comune
Un messaggio urgente
giunse a Giosafat, re di
Giuda per annunciare il
rapido avvicinamento di
un vasto esercito di
Moabiti, Ammoniti ed
Edomiti, tre popoli che
avevano formato
un’alleanza contro Giuda.
4. Knowing that his own forces were no match for the mighty army of the enemy, the king
proclaimed a time of national prayer. People from all over Judah poured into the capital,
Jerusalem, to seek the Lord's help.
Then a young priest named Jahaziel cried out with a loud voice to all the people, "Thus says
the Lord to you: You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see
the salvation of the Lord.”
Giosafat, cosciente dell’inferiorità
delle proprie forze davanti agli
invasori, decise di chiedere aiuto
al Signore. Proclamò un periodo
di preghiera e gli abitanti del
paese vennero a Gerusalemme
per prendervi parte.
Mentre l'assemblea era riunita,
un giovane sacerdote di nome
Iacaziel profetizzò a gran voce:
Ascoltate quel che dice il Signore:
Fermatevi là, schierati per
l’attacco, e vedrete come il
Signore sarà con voi e vi salverà.
5. The next morning, as the troops made preparations for battle, the idea came to appoint
singers to lead the troops into battle. As they took their position at the front of the ranks
they sang, "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever." They were thanking God in
advance for the victory He had promised to win.
Il mattino seguente, il re si
consultò con il popolo e si
stabilì che i cantori
precedessero l’esercito in
battaglia. Mentre i cantori
prendevano il loro posto
Giosafat li istruì: “Lodate il
Signore per la bellezza della
sua santità. Ringraziate il
Signore in anticipo per la
vittoria che aveva promesso il
giorno prima."
6. No sooner had they begun to sing and
praise, than the Lord set ambushes
against the invaders and they were
defeated. None of their enemies
escaped.
Non appena cominciarono a cantare e lodare,
“il Signore tese un’imboscata contro gli
Ammoniti, i Moabiti e gli Edomiti che stavano
marciando contro l’esercito di Giuda e li
sconfisse”.
7. Jesus Heals Ten Lepers
As Jesus entered a village one day, ten men with leprosy approached him. These men stood
at a distance and called out to Jesus. “Jesus, have mercy on us and heal us!”
Gesù guarisce dieci
lebbrosi
Un giorno, Gesù
entrò in un
villaggio e gli
vennero incontro
dieci lebbrosi.
Questi si fermarono
a una certa
distanza e ad alta
voce dissero a
Gesù: - Gesù,
Signore, abbi pietà
di noi!
8. Jesus saw them and told
them, “Go, show yourselves
to the priest.” (According to
the custom of the Jews, after
a leper had been healed, he
was to present himself to
the priest to verify his
healing.)
Appena li vide, Gesù disse: -
Andate dai sacerdoti e
presentatevi a loro!
(Secondo le usanze ebraiche
un lebbroso, dopo essere
guarito, doveva presentarsi
al sacerdote che avrebbe
verificato la sua guarigione.)
9. The men obeyed and as they went, they were healed!
Quelli andarono, e mentre camminavano, furono guariti.
10. One man, when he saw he was healed, turned back. He knelt at Jesus’ feet and thanked him.
Jesus then asked “Weren’t ten healed? Where are the others? Has no one else returned to
thank God except this man?”
Uno di loro, appena si
accorse di essere guarito,
tornò indietro e si gettò
ai piedi di Gesù per
ringraziarlo.
Gesù allora osservò:
'Quei dieci lebbrosi sono
stati guariti tutti! Dove
sono gli altri nove?
Perché non sono tornati
indietro a ringraziare
Dio?
11. Every day is filled with
happy moments that we
could thank God for, if we
paused to acknowledge
them. Take time to count
your blessings, to think
about all the good things
the Lord has given you and
done for you.
Ogni giorno è pieno di
momenti felici per i quali
potremmo ringraziare Dio,
se solo ci fermassimo un
attimo a riconoscerli.
Contare le tue benedizioni,
pensare a tutte le cose
buone che il Signore ti ha
dato e che ha fatto per te.
12. How to Survive Anything
Paul, in his zeal to share the good news about Jesus, met opposition on countless occasions.
He was beaten, imprisoned, stoned, shipwrecked, persecuted, and destitute. Where did he
get the strength to carry on?
Come superare
qualsiasi cosa
Paolo, nel suo zelo di
diffondere la buona
novella su Gesù,
incontrò opposizione in
moltissime occasioni.
Fu picchiato,
imprigionato, lapidato,
perseguitato, fece
naufragio e incontrò la
miseria. Da dove trasse
la forza per andare
avanti?
13. Paul said, “I have learned how
to be content with whatever I
have. I know how to live on
almost nothing or with
everything. For I can do
everything through Christ,
who gives me strength.”
(Philippians 4:11-13)
Paolo disse: "Io ho imparato
ad accontentarmi dello stato
in cui mi trovo. So vivere nella
povertà e anche
nell’abbondanza. Posso far
fronte a tutte le difficoltà
perché Cristo me ne dà la
forza." (Filippesi 4:11-13)
