Students read an assigned article with a partner, noting vocabulary words. They then create a 5 box Popplet with the magazine and article title in the first box, a vocabulary word with definition and visual in the second box, a two sentence summary in the third box, the "wow factor" from the article in the fourth box, and connections to the article in the fifth box. After creating the Popplet, students share the wow factor as a comment with their first and last name to receive credit for the lesson.
