The man was hunted down by two ex-cons who were recently released from prison due to his informant work ten years prior. They take him hostage, considering ransoming or killing him. Through information learned about other crimes committed in prison, the man is able to escape. He steals hidden loot to pay off his original lawyer informant. In a confrontation, he shoots and kills one attacker. He turns in the original two for their new crimes and past killing. His wife, who was dating one of the attackers, ends up killing him when they try to bury the loot.

Whenthe recentlyreleasedconvicts catchupwiththeirman,theytake him hostage and
considerthe possibilityof holdinghimforransomplayingoff of hiswife andkids,leftwithathree
milliondollarlandscapingbusiness. Theyconsiderwhethertheyshouldtake himsouthandkill him,
buryinghiminthe desertsinBaja.They also banteroftenaboutthe possibilityof holdinghimhostage

man has learnedenoughabouthiscaptorstohave thempinnedforseveral more crimescommitted
inside of prisonwallsthroughcourierscarriedoutduringlegal consultations.Severalof the criminal
partiesshowupon the scene,andthe man usestheirdrunkenarrogance andcarelessnessone nightto
escape.

roadside market,he isforcedtoshoot one of them, butnot one of the original two.Inthe end,he
comescleanwithhiswife,tellingheraboutthe deal tenyearspriorandwhat ishappeningnow,and
getsthe two arrestednotonlyfor theirnew crimes,butforthe killingof theirconsort.The man,
satisfiedbyhistake,settlesbacktoenjoyandfindsthathe hasleftone loose end.Hiswife wasthe
boyfriendof one of the men,andkillshimatthe endas theyattempttobury the lootdownsouthin
Baja.
