About the Sing 4 Life Breast Cancer Foundation of Arizona
This 501(c)3 nonprofit organization embraces the benefits of music as an adjunct healing therapy for
patients coping with breast cancer. The foundation provides support to patients and their families
through its various musical endeavors. Created in 2001 by two survivors, one a budding writer and the
other a professional singer, they formed “The Soul Survivors” to gain support and strength by
surrounding themselves with others afflicted with breast cancer.

Although one of the founders, Marilyn Nierenberg-Shaoul lost her battle in 2005, “The Soul Survivors”
carry on and perform for free at a variety of fundraisers in the greater Phoenix area, raising money for
their foundation through the sale of their CD’s and various sponsorships. The foundation also awards
at least one annual scholarship to fulfill a personal educational need or project that will assist cancer
patients and their families. For more information, please call 602-434-6567 or visit
