Vincent and Yosef debated whether the percentage of people in Fresno/Clovis who would talk to scammers for over a minute would be above or below 10%. Yosef believed over 9% would talk for over a minute, while Vincent said less than 10% would. To test this, a sample of 120 people were randomly called with a scam script, and the length of each call was recorded. The results found that 15 out of 120 people talked for over a minute, and the p-value was calculated to be 0.089, supporting Yosef's hypothesis that the percentage is above 10%. Therefore, Yosef was determined the winner of the debate.
