3.  Since its founding in 1983, NAESCO has
functioned as an advocate for developing
energy efficiency as a prime focus of our
national energy policy. For over 30 years
NAESCO has coordinated conferences,
workshops, and training seminars to
educate end users and suppliers alike
about issues of energy efficiency. In
conjunction with Lawrence Berkeley
National Laboratory NAESCO has funded
wide-ranging research to compile and
distribute aggregate industry data to all
stakeholders.

4.  Additionally, NAESCO promotes industry
best practices by offering a meticulous
industry certification program for its
energy efficiency contractors and
