Մահացել է 2004 թ. մայիսի 18-ին: Ամերիկացի
քիմիկոս է եղել , ով հիմնադրել է Բեքման
Ինստրումենտս ընկերությունը իր 1934
թվականի (pH meter) գյուտի հիման վրա, որն
օգտագործվում է թթվության չափման համար։
Նա նաև հիմնադրել է
առաջին սիլիցիումի տրանզիստորի ընկերություն
ը, այսպիսով առաջացնելով Սիլիկոնային հովիտը։
3. • Բեքմանը փոքր տարիքից հետաքրքրված է եղել շրջապատող
աշխարհով։ Ինն տարեկանում, Բեքմանը գտնում է մի հին
քիմիայի դասագիրք՝ Ջոել Դորման Ստիլի «Տասչորս շաբաթ
գիտությունում» գիրքը, և սկսում փորձեր ձեռնարկել։ Հայրը
խրախուսում է նրա գիտական հետաքրքրությունը՝ թույլ
տալով գործիքների մառանը փոխել լաբորատորիայի։

բնագավառում։ 1906 թ. Նոբելյան մրցանակ է
ստացել:
6. Հակոբ Հակոբյան
• Հակոբ Երվանդի Հակոբյան ծնվել է 1912 թ.
քիմիկոս։ Դարձել է տեխնիկական
գիտությունների դոկտոր 1959թ. , 1962 թ.`
պրոֆեսոր։
7. • 1938 թվականին ավարտել է Երևանի
պոլիտեխնիկական ինստիտուտը: 1958-1968
թվականներին եղել է Հայքիմգիտնախագիծ ԳՀԻ
վինիլացետատի բաժանմունքի պետ, 1968-1971
թվականներին՝ ԵՊԻ պլաստմասսաների սինթեզի
և վերամշակման տեխնոլոգիայի ամբիոնի վարիչ։
8. • Աշխատանքները վերաբերում են մոնոմերների
սինթեզի, պոլիմերման գործընթացների
տեխնոլոգիայի մշակմանը, վինիլացետատի
սինթեզին, պոլիմերմանը և համապոլիմերմանը,
պոլիվինիլսպիրտից սինթետիկ մանրաթելի,
մեթիլացետատից՝ մեթիլսպիրտի, քացախաթթվի
ստացմանը։ Որոշ աշխատանքներ ներդրվել են
արդյունաբերության մեջ։
