Red Bull, McDonald’s, Starbucks. These are just a few brands that fully take advantage of social media as part of their overall business strategy. In an age where voicing opinions and connecting online are second nature, social media has now become more essential than ever as a way to research, create relationships and shape brand perception.
However, what does it take to employ social media beyond a local business level, when there are dozens of markets, thousands of employees and millions of conversations to manage worldwide? What does it take to do it well? And even though all the other kids are doing it – is social media really worth investing in?
Mandy Poon, Digital Marketing Consultant @w.illi.am/ presents what enterprises need to consider before embarking on a social media journey, how that journey requires Social Media to become an integral part of a multinational’s business and marketing plans, what it means to create a truly global strategy, and some tools and guidelines to get there.
The document discusses several narrative theorists and their contributions. Vladimir Propp analyzed over 100 Russian fairy tales and identified character roles that frequently appeared, such as the villain, hero, donor, and dispatcher. Tzvetan Todorov believes most narratives follow a structure of equilibrium being disrupted by a force, then returning to equilibrium. Roland Barthes identified five narrative codes that engage the reader: action, enigma, symbolic, semic, and cultural. Claude Levi-Strauss examined how myths unconsciously reflect a culture's values through binary oppositions.
Macro photography involves taking extreme close-up photos of small subjects like plants, insects, and other items that show lots of detail. It explores subjects that may not be visible to the naked eye. Successful macro shots depend on lighting, with natural sunlight often working well. Examples include dew drops on plants captured by photographer Sharon Johnson, and miniature diorama scenes made by David Gilliver for his photography degree. Macro images are commonly seen in magazines, advertisements, nature documentaries, blogs, and social media.
The document is a scanned image of a receipt from a restaurant called "The Burger Joint" dated January 15th, 2023. It shows a total of $23.45 was spent and paid for with a credit card ending in 4321. The items purchased included 2 cheeseburgers, 1 large fries, and 1 chocolate shake.
Latin America's Independence Movement.2012HeatherP
1) Spain conquered most of Latin America in the 16th-17th centuries and established a class system with Native Americans at the bottom, often forced to work on plantations. African slaves were later imported to supplement the declining Native American population.
2) In the late 18th century, Toussaint L'Ouverture led a successful slave rebellion in Haiti that led to its independence from France in 1804, making it the first Latin American country to gain independence.
3) Simón Bolívar led independence movements across Latin America in the 1810s-1820s that liberated Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Bolivia from Spanish rule.
