7. Илья Муромец от рождения “без рук, без ног”, и
поэтому он тридцать лет сидел сиднем на печи.
8. После исцеления Илья Муромец на коне
отправляется в Киев ко двору князя Владимира.
9. В чистом поле он встречается со Святогором; происходит взаимная
демонстрация силы, и оказывается - Святогор сильнее. Оба богатыря
становятся крестовыми братьями, разъезжают по Святым горам. Умирая,
Святогор передает Илье Муромцу часть своей силы.
Получив эту “вторую” силу, Илья Муромец становится подлинным
богатырем.
10. Первый подвиг был совершен им во время первой поездки в
Киев, когда Илья Муромец побеждает Соловья – разбойника.
Ни змеиный шип, ни звериный рев не испугали Илью
Муромца, каленой стрелой он поражает Соловья в правый
глаз привязывает его к седлу и везет в Киев.
11. Вслед за этим первым
богатырским подвигом следуют
другие.
В Киеве появляется Идолище
поганое и приводит в ужас князя
Владимира, требуя от него
“поединщика и супротивничка”.
Илья Муромец идет на бой.
В поединке Илья Муромец
убивает Идолище.
12. Особый цикл былин посвящен теме
борьбы Ильи Муромца с татарами.
Калин-царь из орды Золотой земли
подошел “со своею силою поганою” к
Киеву, когда там не было богатырей;
Внезапно приехавший Илья Муромец
требует, чтобы татары отошли от
Киева, Калин-царь приказывает связать
его и “плюет Илье во ясны очи”.
Тот освобождается от веревок,
схватывает татарина за ноги
“и зачал татарином помахивати: куды
он махнет— тут улицы лежат, куды
отвернет — с переулками”. Калина же
он “ударил о горюч камень, расшиб его
в крохи”.
