NextGen Toys for NextGen Kids
Brief description of the projectBrief description of the project
(1) Toytemic — is
(2) an electronic HW platform,
(3) for creating new classes of toys, able to act in
concert, make group actions in the same way as
units in computer games,
(4) the platform suitable for small and medium toy
companies, robotic hobbyists and even school
students,
(5) which neither have time, nor skills, nor resources to
make complex technological developments and
designs.
(6) As opposite to expensive advanced robotic solutions
Toytemic platform
(7) supports coordinated maneuvers and complex
interactions of moving devices as simple and cheap
as mass market toys.

NextGen Toys for NextGen Kids
• excessive virtualization of games and
occupations of modern kids and teens
• colorful violence
• loss of reality
• inadequate behaviors
Games should be brought back from
behind the screen into the real world of
tangible things
HAS THE TIME COME?
ProblemProblem

NextGen Toys for NextGen Kids
SolutionSolution
• modern interactive toys actually are small robots
• their electronics and electromechanics are good enough
• but they do not interact with each other, no game
• nothing like Toy Stories is seen on the toy market
MISSING LINK IS SIMPLE AND COST-EFFECTIVE POSITIONING SYSTEM
Toytemic solution
• heterogeneous toys (and other
mobile devices are networked
• coordinated maneuvers
• no external detectors (cameras,
beacons, tags) are required
• single remote control (RC)
working like computer cursor
• TOY TEAM GAME!!!
www.toytemic.comTOYTEMIC Inventions, LLC Slide 5 (of 14)
NextGen Toys for NextGen Kids
• casing/skin – toy/character appearance
• additional sensors and actuators
• external memory
• behavioral algorithms
• team of toys (robots)
• Mobile apps for remote controlling
• 2-motor chassis 5х4х3см
• positioning sensor (2м radius)
• microcomputer
• motion control algorithms
• sensor network
• Optical RC-pointer and MV-modules
Variable part (toy product)Invariable part (platform)
• Proprietary positioning sensor invented especially for
self-propelled toys
• Proprietary optical RC for controlling dozens of
moving devices
• Proprietary IC (integrated circuit)
will drop costs of the platform
electronics from $5 to $1
