Human beings have 32 teeth, one tongue, and three pairs of salivary glands in the mouth. Each tooth is fixed in the lower jaw's cavities. The first teeth formed after birth are called milk teeth. Among the 32 permanent teeth, four are called wisdom teeth that appear only in adulthood. The five main parts of a tooth are enamel, dentin, pulp, cementum, and the periodontal ligament.
