This document describes different types of views in a database. Simple views allow SELECT statements and can include joins, group by clauses, and aggregation functions. Complex views extend simple views and also allow data manipulation language commands like UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE. The most restrictive type of view only allows SELECT statements.
