This document summarizes a student's survey of existing literature on smart city architectures and privacy mechanisms. It finds that while many areas of smart cities have been studied, including smart grid, smart home, and smart space, applying human-like cognitive privacy models has not been specifically addressed. It also reviews various non-human privacy mechanisms and domains studied in previous work. Charts and diagrams are presented to illustrate the approaches and domains analyzed in the literature survey.
