B. Vithesh Reddy is studying in 9th class, in Good
Shepherd School, Kurnool . Vithesh’s mother and
father are working in low paid jobs [ mother
working as cleaner in a private hospital and father
is working as a full time watchman in newly
constructed buildings ]. They earn very less and
live in a temporary shed like structure on land
allotted by the government. Since they are at a
very low income level, they are not able to pay the
minimum school fees

3. K.Sneha
K. Sneha is studying in 9th class, in Good
Shepherd School, Kurnool . Father is engaged in
labour and earning low daily wages; presently, he
is the only income earner, causing difficulties in
paying the rent and to meet the daily basic needs.
Sneha’s mother is unable to work nowadays, as
she has some medical problems

4. C. Priyanka
C. Priyanka is studying in 9th class, in Good
Shepherd School, Kurnool . Her father works as
daily wage construction labour in different
locations of Kurnool and travels on work. He earns
around Rs.4000/- per month, and spends money
on alcohol. Due to financial constraints, parents
are not able to provide educational support in time
to Priyanka

5. K.Swapna Rani
K. Swapna Rani is studying in 9th class, in Good
Shepherd School, Kurnool . Her parents maintain a
small tea stall and Tiffin centre. They make
snacks/tea and earn Rs.200 /- per day. The family
subsists on this amount. Though Swapna Rani is
very good at studies, it is difficult for the parents
to pay the fees
