2. Spokane, Washington. Immersed in the Spokane
community, the Keith Scribner Trust contributes
to a number of local charities and nonprofits,
including the Spokane Symphony.
The Spokane Symphony believes in the value of
orchestral music to enrich lives and nurture the
spirit and performs symphonic and chamber
orchestra programs that are enlightening, well-
structured, and entertaining. Recently, the
symphony announced that it will participate in
the Carnegie Hall Link Up Program.
3. Link Up is a national program that connects the
community with first-rate orchestras in order to
provide musical education through a year-long,
hands-on curriculum. The program provides a
number of helpful resources to each orchestra,
including a curriculum guide with corresponding
CD and DVD, a workbook for each participant,
and support and consultation to the orchestras,
as well as access to the Carnegie Hall website.
The Spokane Symphony is just one of 50
international organizations chosen to participate.
