Larry West, age 55, with a problematic home life
Has been working for the company for many years
Reputable supervisor (meets deadlines and gets job done)
Firm and sometimes a harsh supervisor
Owner knows Larry was an alcoholic
The manager and storeroom employees noticed the smell
of alcohol on Larry when they talk to him
Manger confronts Larry and reminds him of the company’s
discipline policy against under the influence
