South Peninsula Hospital was pleased to find another voluntary benefit carrier option in Alaska besides their current carrier. Their current carrier had low participation and inconsistent service. When Pamela Whitfield from Colonial Life presented their ideas to make voluntary benefits fun, the hospital was excited to replace their carrier. Colonial Life provided great presentations that resulted in almost 50% participation from employees. They offered guarantee issue on disability plans and over 70 employees purchased one. Colonial Life also had strong participation in other programs like accident, life, cancer, and critical illness plans with no cost to the hospital. The hospital is encouraged that Colonial Life and their Anchorage based team provide excellent service and a great enrollment experience.
