Mr. Stan Palmer has been a valued teacher on assignment under my direct supervision
during the past two years in the Department of Teaching and Learning. During this time,
I constantly observed Mr. Palmer showing dedication to his profession and colleagues.
He has also demonstrated a wide range of organizational and technical skills serving as
the Science Fair director, Robotics support trainer and contact, STEM contact, as well as
serving on various committees representing our department and the district.
Mr. Palmer routinely displays the skills of a meticulous planner and organizer. The
Science Fair is very paper work intense and Stan provided hours of on‐site support to
schools to ensure that it was filled out correctly and on time. Mr. Palmer also oversaw
all of the logistics related to the Science Fair including the facility usage at the Seminole
Towne Center mall, the recruiting and organizing of the judges and awards, and the
planning of the awards night. On top of this, Mr. Palmer also handled all aspects of
scheduling for the State Science Fair and International Science Fair as well.
Besides his duties with the Science Fair, Mr. Palmer also has served as the Robotics
trainer/contact and STEM contact for the district over the past 2 years. In this role Mr.
Palmer has went to most of the SCPS schools and trained groups of teachers on how to
implement the robotics equipment purchased from the millage funding. Stan also has
been very active in the Computer Science 2020 planning for the district. In addition, Mr.
Palmer represented SCPS on various boards and helped for forge strong partnerships
with many of our STEM organizations in the area.
Mr. Stan Palmer is a very dedicated professional, very knowledgeable, and his
organizational skills are obvious to anyone who works with him. Mr. Palmer also has
years of high quality teaching experience to draw from as well. I highly recommend you
