South of the Border is a roadside attraction and restaurant located in Dillon, South Carolina along Interstate 95. Founded in 1950 by Pedro Francisco, it aims to provide a taste of Mexican culture to travelers along the busy highway. The complex features a large sombrero shaped water tower, numerous signs and billboards promoting the location, and shops selling Mexican-themed souvenirs and food items.
