Scientists have discovered a hidden universe of galaxies and galaxy clusters behind our own Milky Way galaxy that were previously obscured from view. Using radio telescopes that can detect radio waves emitted by hydrogen gas, researchers were able to see through the Milky Way and identify over 200,000 previously unknown galaxies and galaxy clusters. This new discovery helps provide a more complete picture of the structure and evolution of the universe.
