Sound is a vibration that propagates as an acoustic wave through a medium such as gas, liquid or solid. It is the reception of waves below 20 hz known as infrasound in human physiology and psychology. Sound vibration travels in waves by vibrating objects that then vibrate other objects, carrying the sound through air, water or solids as long as there are particles for it to bounce off of.
